Today, the Ministry of Commerce held a national silk and silk work site meeting in Nanchong. The main tasks were to summarize the management of the silk industry in recent years, exchange work experiences across the region, and study and analyze the situation facing the development of the industry, especially to study how the silk industry can develop scientifically in the new situation. , further clarify the working ideas and deploy the next phase of work. The rapid development of sericulture production in the central and western regions has eased the situation that silkworm cocoon production has been declining year by year in the eastern region, and has made positive contributions to stabilizing the industry.

The initial processing capacity of silk in the central and western regions increased and the process of industrialization accelerated. With the adjustment of the production of cocoon raw materials, the primary processing of silk has gradually shifted to the relatively low cost of the Midwest. From 2003 to 2005, silk production in the central and western regions accounted for 32% of the country's total, and in 2009 it increased to 51%. In 2003, the total output of mulberry silk in Guangxi was 0.2 million tons, accounting for only 2.5% of the country. In 2009, the output of mulberry silk reached 16200 tons, accounting for 17% of the country's total. Silk production in Guangxi region accounted for an increase in the share of mulberry silk in the country in six years. Nearly 7 times.

The industrial clusters in the eastern region have begun to take shape, and the effect of industrial transformation and upgrading is obvious. In recent years, the eastern region has focused its efforts on innovation mechanisms, cultivating leading forces, setting up platforms, training personnel, and other aspects. It has formed a cluster of silk and silk industries with different characteristics. The establishment of the silk and women's clothing industry alliance in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province has effectively promoted the transformation and upgrading of the silk industry; the tie industry in Shengzhou City has actively extended to both ends of the “smile curve”; the tie output accounts for 90% of the country and 40% of the world; Jiangsu Province Hai'an County, relying on Xinyuan Group, has established a comprehensive industrial base for research, development, production and export of stencil silk with a complete industrial chain and a complete range of products.

The technology chain has been effectively strengthened. In recent years, the eastern region has continuously improved and promoted the post-processing finishing technology. Jacquard wide-format shuttleless looms, digital ink-jet printing, new environmental protection and energy-saving technologies and equipment have been widely used in the weaving and dyeing fields. The quality and grade of silk fabrics With greater improvement, the energy saving and emission reduction level of the silk industry has further increased. The modern agriculture concept of popularizing scientific breeding in the central and western regions has significantly improved the quality of cocoon and the quality of silk. The promotion ratio of small silkworm co-breeding, labor-saving sericulture, and checkered clams in Chongqing has increased by 15%, 20%, and 12%, respectively; the popularization and application rate of silkworm mulberry varieties in Guangxi has reached more than 90%, and the quality of mulberry silk is 2A. It is generally up to 4A and partially up to 5A.

The tissue chain is more tight. Through the work of nurturing farmers, promoting agriculture through agriculture, and stimulating industries through trade, using anti-leased packages, investment in stocks, etc., the company, base, and silkworm farmers have formed an interest-related economic community, forming a group of strong competitiveness. The information chain is constantly optimized. The rapid development of the sericulture industry has effectively promoted the construction of a new socialist countryside. The implementation of the “East Sangxi Moving” project not only increased the income of farmers, but also sent advanced concepts and technologies to rural areas, resulting in a large number of new farmers who have “culture, technology, business management, and good management”.
