True and false identification of camel hair clothing

Due to its soft and warm nature, camel hair has become a favorite winter product for consumers. However, some unscrupulous manufacturers sell their leftovers of inferior chemical fibers and wool to be sold at a high price in the form of camel hair, causing consumers to be deceived.

The Consumers Association of Ningxia reminds consumers that it is best to buy products and ask for tickets in malls with legal qualifications to facilitate rights protection. At the same time, when buying camel hair products should pay attention to the following methods to identify true and false camel hair.

One question: just ask the price. Because the camel's wool is several times the price of wool, if the consumer at the time of purchase knows that the price of the camel hair product is almost the same as the price of the wool product, it is obviously not a real lichen.

Second look: that is, visual inspection. High-quality camel hair is long and shiny, and its coat colors are apricot, brown, silver, and white. The relatively poor camel hair is black and the hair is thick. If the fake camel is pretending to be a waste of wool, the wool fiber is usually short, about 3-4 cm, and it is relatively thick.

Three touch: touch it. High quality camel hair is soft, elastic and dry. The fake camel hair is generally poor in feel and elasticity, and some have dampness.

Four burning: burning with fire. This is to distinguish between wool and chemical fiber. Take a small amount of hair to burn it with a match. The camel hair will be smoked and blistering. It has a stench similar to that of burning hair. It burns more ash, and forms a shiny black brittle piece, broken by hand. The fake camel hair is generally mixed with various chemical fibers, and has a special odor when burned. For example, viscose fiber has acetic acid smell, nylon has celery smell, acrylic fiber has octanoic acid taste, polyester has aromatic taste, and the like.

Five wash: wash with boiling water. Take a suitable amount of wool soaked or boiled for a few minutes. If it is a real camel hair, it will not fade. If it is a fake camel hair, it is usually dyed with wool. After blisters are opened, it will fade and the water is also camel.
