Liu Jianguo, vice chairman of the Provincial Garment Industry Association, introduced that in the first 10 months of this year, Shandong garment enterprises produced 2.863 billion pieces of apparel products, up from the same period last year. The growth is 21.02%, and the annual output is expected to reach 3.4 billion. The increase in output at the same time led to an increase in sales revenue. In the first 10 months of this year, the garment enterprises in the province realized a sales income of 138.182 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.61%, and the annual sales revenue is expected to exceed 160 billion yuan.

The most serious problems still have to count on "recruitment difficulties." According to the data quoted by the Provincial Garment Industry Association, due to the high degree of lack of work in the apparel industry in 2010, the overall operating rate in the coastal areas only reached 70%, and many large companies also reduced the operating rate to 80% due to labor shortages and rising labor costs. At the same time, we will increase the proportion of outsourcing processing, and SMEs with a start-up rate of around 50% will abound. In terms of recruitment difficulties, although Shandong is better than other coastal provinces, the turnover rate of workers is generally around 10%-20%.
