The 15th China Textile and Clothing Expo opens in Tokyo

The three-day 15th China Textile and Clothing Fair opened on the 1st in Tokyo, capital of Japan, attracting 242 clothing companies from 47 cities in China and attracted the attention of the Japanese industry.

Wang Wende, vice president of China Textile Industry Group, the organizer of the exhibition, said at the press conference that Chinese textile and clothing products had an annual export value of approximately US$20 billion. The clothing trade has become an important part of China-Japan bilateral trade.

When talking about the cooperation between the two countries' industries, Wang Wende pointed out that so far, "Japan's billing and production in China" is still the main mode of cooperation between garment companies in the two countries, but this model has not adapted to the changing market requirements of the two countries. Wang Wende explained that Chinese companies are faced with increasing cost pressures such as labor, raw materials and environmental protection, and have to choose orders. In addition, the domestic and domestic market in China is now receiving increasing attention. He said that he hopes that Chinese and Japanese companies will face changes in the situation, explore new areas of cooperation, and increase the level of cooperation.

Wang Wende believes that Japan has obvious advantages in fashion design, planning, technology, and talent, but the cooperation between the two sides in this area is very limited. China Textile Group is willing to continue to use the platform of China Textile and Apparel Exhibition and strive to deepen the cooperation between the two countries to develop the two markets in China and Japan to provide support.

The first China Textile and Apparel Fair was held in Osaka in December 2003. The exhibition was held once each year in Osaka and Tokyo. Since 2003, China Textile and Apparel Fair has been highly regarded by Chinese and Japanese industry professionals. Its popularity and influence have been continuously improved and it has become an important exchange platform for the textile and apparel industry in China and Japan.

The exhibition area of ​​the 15th China Textile and Apparel Fair is located at the Sunshine City Ikebukuro Culture Hall in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The exhibition area is 6,000 square meters with 294 booths. It is the largest ever exhibition in Tokyo.
