French home apparel leather consumption quarterly innovation high

France’s “Echo” reported on October 27th that in September the French household’s consumption of manufactured goods increased by 1.5% from the previous quarter, and in the third quarter, French household consumption increased by 1.2%.

As France’s new vehicle subsidy measures will be implemented by the end of the year, new French car sales in September increased by 11.2%. Consumption of durable consumer goods rose by 4.6% in September and clothing leather rose by 0.2%. Garment leather consumption rose by 4.5% in the third quarter, creating a quarterly increase in French household apparel leather consumption. The French National Bureau of Statistics pointed out that this was the first time since the fourth quarter of 1987.

French Minister of Economy Lagarde pointed out that the increase in household consumption is partly due to the positive results of France’s efforts to create employment in the past six months. La Garde believes that household consumption growth is a favorable factor for promoting French economic growth.
