Gu Ping said that under the complicated and volatile economic environment, the scale of China's textile machinery industry continued to slow down, with various indicators low, and the import and export value of textile machinery products showed a year-on-year decline. In the first year of the “ 13th Five-Year Plan”, the operation of the textile machinery industry in the first three quarters confirmed the judgment of the textile machinery industry in the period of structural adjustment and development.

The domestic market, radiation around the area "along the way", the domestic Xinjiang, Ningxia, Yunnan Baoshan and other areas affected support national and local policies in recent years, the textile industry continued to invest in expanding production capacity, has become a hot textile machinery market. In terms of the international market, South Asia, Southeast Asia, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia and other countries are still the main destinations for China's textile machinery exports. The textile industry in these countries plays an important role in their national economy. They have introduced various policies and measures to support the development of the textile industry, and the development of textile processing industrial parks to attract foreign investment. Li Yi analyzed the development situation and characteristics of textile machinery technology reflected in the 2016 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition. More than 100,000 visitors attended the show, and more than 20% of the visitors came from overseas. A total of 1,673 companies from 28 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, and the number of exhibitors increased by 7% year-on-year; the exhibition area exceeded 170,000 square meters, an increase of 12%. In his concluding remarks, Wang Shutian said that from the overall situation, 2016 is the slowest growth year for the textile machinery industry in recent years.
