color palette: storybook
Kids Clothes Week is just around the corner! It’s happening from October 20th to October 26th. If you're familiar with KCW, then you already know it's an awesome event where people come together to sew clothes for kids. A while back, Meg, the founder of KCW, visited our blog to share the story behind this wonderful community. You can check out her insightful post [here](insert link).
This season, the optional theme is "storybook," which inspired me to revisit one of my favorite tales, *The Little Prince*. The iconic illustrations on the book cover gave me the perfect starting point for creating a color palette. Mint green, gray, mustard yellow, and cream were the hues I chose, and I set off to find fabrics that matched this vision.

Fabrics: Gold glitter dot tulle, gray double gauze, mustard floral knit, triangle print, mint green cotton, and a bee fabric.*
I’m excited to dive into sewing projects that reflect this theme. Whether it’s a dress, a pair of pants, or even a cozy hat, I hope to bring some whimsy and charm to my creations. What about you? Are you planning to participate in Kids Clothes Week this year?
KCW isn’t just about sewing—it’s a chance to connect with other creatives, share your work, and maybe even pick up some new skills. There’s something truly magical about turning fabric into something meaningful and personal.
If you’re joining in, let me know what you’re working on! I’d love to see your progress and hear about your inspirations. Happy sewing, and may your needle and thread bring joy to both you and the little ones who will wear your creations.
P.S. Don't forget to tag your projects with #kidsclothesweek so we can all follow along. Here’s to a week filled with creativity, imagination, and colorful stories!
