we’re hiring! part-time blog help wanted

Over the last few months, since Giulia made the big move to India with her family, things at the studio have been evolving. We’ve been thinking hard about how to keep things running smoothly without expanding too quickly. Instead of hiring more staff and scaling up our operations, we've decided to stay intentionally small and agile. It's a choice that works well for us because it gives us the flexibility to manage the business the way we want. Sure, it requires a lot of effort, but the freedom to adapt and make decisions on the fly makes it worth it—especially right now. Rather than bringing on full-time employees, we're looking to bring some of you into the fold on a part-time basis. Recently, we’ve brought on a fantastic graphic artist who'll assist with pattern illustrations and layouts. This change will allow me to focus more on my core responsibilities, like creating patterns and writing instructions, which many of you have come to love. At the same time, Todd can continue working on those exciting projects he’s been dreaming up. Running a business today means maintaining an active presence online, and blogging is a huge part of what we do. I truly enjoy sharing stories, tips, and inspiration through our platform—it’s a fantastic way to engage with all of you. However, blogging demands a ton of time, and with so many pattern designs in the pipeline—women’s, children’s, and even some plus-size options—I need to shift my priorities. Blogging is essential, but I also need to allocate more energy toward the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our business thriving. This is where you come in. We’re searching for someone who can contribute 15–20 hours per week to blogging. Ideally, they’d live close enough to New York for occasional tutorial collaborations, but that’s not a dealbreaker. Here’s what we’re looking for: - Proven experience in blogging and a genuine passion for it. - Strong photography skills and the ability to edit images effectively for blog posts. - A keen eye for aesthetics and design. - A solid understanding of sewing and fashion. - Familiarity with our brand and a desire to contribute to its growth. I’ve got a long list of ideas I want to share, and I’m confident that with the right person on board, we can create more tutorials, showcase fresh inspirations, and deepen our connection with you. If you’re creative, full of ideas, and have a great visual sense, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything figured out—I’m open to collaboration and eager to hear your thoughts! If this sounds like something you’d love to be a part of, drop us a line. Include your resume, a link to your blog or portfolio, and tell us why you’re interested in joining our team. Let’s chat! I’m thrilled about these changes and can’t wait to see what exciting possibilities lie ahead. By the way, with a bit of extra help, maybe I’ll finally get the chance to visit Giulia in India. Fingers crossed! --- As we settle into these new arrangements, I feel more energized than ever. The future looks bright, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes us next. Stay tuned for more updates—and don’t forget to let us know if you’re interested in being part of our growing community!
