Europe and the United States on children wear string on the strict requirements

Editor's Note: Products that do not meet the requirements are considered to have characteristics that constitute a hazardous product. Some states in the United States also have their own relevant laws. The string on children's clothing has the risk of causing suffocation. The ropes may be caught in playground equipment, movable vehicles, cable cars, etc., resulting in serious casualties.

In order to minimize the risk of accidents, some countries have set relevant safety standards.

On July 29, 2011, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) voted through ASTM F 1816-97 (2009).

The standard specifies the requirements for the string on the jacket of children's tops (size 2T-12, with a string at the neck or hood; size 2T-16, with a string at the waist or bottom).

Products that do not meet the requirements are considered to have characteristics that constitute a hazardous product. Some states in the United States also have their own laws and regulations, such as the Wisconsin Act - ATCP139 and the New York State Act - A10866.

In Europe, the European Standard EN 14682:2007 makes specific requirements for the presence and characteristics of children's clothing on the basis of the child's age (between 7 years old and 7 to 14 years old).

In the United Kingdom's "Children's Wear Headband Relevant Regulations 1976", it is forbidden to sell or wear children's outerwear designed with a string on a ventilation cap.

In Australia, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) recommends that the straps on children's clothing should reference standards ASTM F 1816 and EN 14682.
