2. Use a knife to cut open at any corner of the insulating glass to see if the joint angle is effectively wrapped with butyl rubber. The actual theory shows. The double-pass sealed insulating glass made by the joint angle method has a water-permeable path mainly at four corners, and the water permeability is 70%, and the water permeability of the edge is 30%. Therefore, the use of continuous curved aluminum strips or butyl rubber to effectively wrap the four joint angles can greatly extend the service life of the insulating glass. If the four corners are not effectively wrapped with butyl rubber, the double seal The practical significance is not great.

3. Use a knife to cut the two sections of the two seals and the glass by a few centimeters, and then tear the sealant out by hand. If the surface of the glass is smooth after tearing, there is no residual glue, indicating that the sealant and the glass surface have no adhesive force, so the sealing effect can be imagined.

4. Add the above methods to check whether the standard molecular sieve is used, whether the butyl rubber is continuous (no broken wire), if it is not polysulfide rubber, whether the other two sealants have been tested for compatibility (must be compatible) Experiment, otherwise it is very likely that the problem will be infinite.) If the window frame seal is not a standard rubber strip seal, but is sealed with ordinary silicone rubber, it is necessary to use the silicone rubber and the insulating glass edge sealant for compatibility experiments. Otherwise, it may endanger (some windows and doors are installed). The company purchased the inferior oil-filled silicone rubber to seal the window frame. Over time, the mineral oil migrated out to erode the entire insulating glass sealing system. Since it takes a while for this evil to manifest itself, it must be prevented in advance.
