Reducing dye staining

The vat dye is insoluble in water and soluble in alkaline reducing liquid, becoming leuco chromic sodium salt and dyeing fiber. After oxidation, it is converted into original insoluble dye and fixed on the fabric, so it is called vat dye.

First, the characteristics of vat dyes

The use of vat dyes has a long history, many varieties, more complete chromatogram, but the lack of bright red, the price is more expensive, often dyed light-color products that require high light fastness. Individual yellow and orange dyes have a light-sensitive and brittle effect on cellulose fibers, and care should be taken when selecting them.

The vat dyes can be dyed by two methods: leucochromatism and suspension. The leucophore dyeing is generally performed by jiggers, and the equipment is relatively simple for small batches and multi-variety production. However, poor transmissibility often leads to the occurrence of white core rickets, and thus the physical quality level is not high. This kind of dyeing process was applied in the 50s to 70s of the 20th century. With the advancement of technology, this leucochromic process has been replaced by the reactive dyed-dyeing process in recent years. The vat dye suspension pad dyeing process has a uniform surface color, good dye permeability, and a guaranteed cloth quality. Now, it has become the mainstream dyeing process for cotton woven fabrics together with the reactive dye padding process, and has been widely used. .

Second, vat dyeing process
At present, printing and dyeing plants use pleasing dye suspension padding process commonly used flat continuous pad dyeing combined unit, the unit is mainly composed of the bottoming machine and color soaping machine, the dyeing process is as follows:
Padded suspension dyeing solution → infrared pre-baking → hot air pre-baking → drying tube drying → air falling cloth → padding reduction liquid → reducing steaming → washing → oxidation → soaping → washing → drying
When using the vat dye suspension padding process, it is important to note that the vat dye used must be an ultra-fine powder dye with excellent diffusion properties. Currently, commercialization of vat dyes is relatively good, and dyes do not have to be ground.

(Early-used dyes must be ground by a sand mill) and can be formulated into a stable suspension with sufficient agitation. Different kinds of fabrics should be selected in the dyeing bath for the proper anti-migration agent. The key steps to ensure the dyeing quality are the padding of the padding slurry, the pre-baking and the reduction steaming and oxidation after the padding of the reducing liquid.

Tencel

Tencel is a kind of cellulose fiber, which is usually made by volume spinning. Tencel is made of wood pulp mainly made from conifers, which will not produce any derivatives or chemical effects during the textile process. Tencel is a safe and environmentally friendly fabric. Tensilk fabric can be said to combine the advantages of various fabrics in one, it has, cotton comfortablity, polyester toughness and silk soft pendant feeling. Tencel fabric is widely used, it can be used directly to weave clothes and bedding, or it can be blended with cotton, wool, cotton and polyester to enhance the strength and tactility of their fabrics. Tencel has strong hygroscopic property. When made into summer clothes, tencel can quickly absorb sweat from the body, making the wearer feel cool and comfortable. Tencel also has excellent comfort and a very silky touch.
